True Romance – Leaves a Mark

Hello Friends,

I think it’s true that love is a universal language. Though, as with anything, none of us may view love/romance with quite the same perspective.

One thing is for certain, when we come across the kind of romance we relate to, it moves us deeply. It’s something we do not forget. Our personal idea of true romance, leaves a mark, whether we are living it, or reading it – we remember that feeling, always.

The novel I am currently writing, The Savage and the Soulless, is an adult science-fiction/fantasy story, but also includes the beginning of a romance between the two main characters. I am seeking authenticity in this part of the story, a deep romantic connection that transcends the physical. My first draft is nearly complete and I’m excited for the revision phase, an opportunity to build more depth.

Today I wrote this short romantic poem. I may expand upon it in the future.
