I recently finished reading a book! It is time to celebrate, since I have not had much time lately for reading and because as an indie author, I strive to support others.
Over the past ten years, or so, indie authors have irrevocably changed the industry – accounting for 30-34% of all e-book sales in the largest English-language markets.
So, as awesome as is to have the ability to work as our own publishers and marketers – the ocean is big and deep with 1.68 million books independently published in the U.S. in 2018 alone. It is important to help each other rise to the surface when we can.
Now to the good stuff!

Review Title: “Gritty Story Shines a Light into Dark Corners of the Las Vegas Strip”
My Review:
‘Lucky Sevens’ reveals an insider view behind the glitz and glamour of the Las Vegas we all love, or think we know. Cynthia Vespia has the bases covered with a cast of characters – the likes of which you would expect to exist in sin city – who must not only battle each other, but also their personal demons. The latter being nearly more destructive to their personal welfare.
A beautiful, independent, stripper with a heart of gold. An old school, to-the-nines, muscled italian, head of security with a drinking problem. A weasely, spoiled , drug addicted, megalomaniac casino manager. An evil headlining magician, who will do anything it takes to obtain all the power he can get, even if he must sell his soul.
Evil and debauchery is at odds with hopes and dreams as these four main characters collide, and the body count rises.
Cynthia Vespia does a great job setting the stage, and bringing interesting characters to life, and dragging us away from the exciting fantasy that represents Vegas. We are taken behind the scenes to experience the dark, dirty, messy and corrupt lifestyles of those who claw for survival. Add a heavy dose of drugs, murder, power, love and the supernatural and we are on a wild ride.
I enjoyed reading ‘Lucky Sevens’, an intriguing story with characters who felt like real people. The story drew me right in and I really like Cynthia Vespia’s writing and storytelling style.
Overall, I had fun reading ‘Lucky Sevens’ and was entertained by the story (which is the whole point!). I recommend this book!
